cashback, when do i send in bill?
Am needing a bit of help ....
This is my second cash back deal so have an idea of how it works but am a bit confused here....
Its with coolnewmoblie and a 12 month contract, with 5 claims to go in.The first, is claim month 4 (so far so good).
Instalmemt 1 , send form along with bill that shows i have been connected for 120 days, ie if connected 1st jan then send bill dated 1st May . ....
here it all goes wonky ...... should I send 5th bill in for the4th month , as the first bill does not show I have been connected at all, as its all paid in advance? The one for May is indeed the 5th bill. Therefor to get the last one i have to send in month 13 (but I would prob wmat to cancel after a year....) ,
Please can someone tell me, which bill they want!
Am getting more confused as I write....

Yes you would send the 5th bill, I have just had to do it for Phonebox Direct (PBD) 2 weeks ago (and got my cheque 2 weeks later) and today for Cool New Mobile (CNM), both for the first instalments. To check for yourself, count 120 days from the connection date and it should be the next bill that comes the closet to the 120 days, in some cases it can be more than 120 depending on the billing cycle of the provider. In their example the 120 days from the start of connection (1st Jan) will be til the end of April and the nearest bill that you should get is the 1st of May.
I was worrying about whether to send in my 4th/5th bill after I got my 4th. I emailed PBD and they said to send in my 5th.
You have to be even more careful with both these companies (same company) as they have changed their T&Cs regarding the administration charges for early claims since when I signed up in December 05 :mad:Administration charges
Due to the number of early claims, duplicate claims and multiple claims, we have the following charges for unecessary administration. All early but otherwise valid claims will be rejected & subjected to a £10 administration fee.
You don't have to stay connected for the 13th month (to send in month 12's bill) if you want to end it at the end of your 12 month contract. During month 11 I will be going to write a letter to o2 to give them 30 days notice to cancel my contract at the end of month 12. As you may know already, you have to pay line rental in advance, so in theory when I cancel with o2 in month 11, they will send me my 12th (final) bill.I will submit the bill that I get from them for my last claim and hopefully I am successful with the claim.

No offense guys....but these cashbacks deals seems like a load of "crap" to me.
Administered by dodgy dealers with only one goal..... screw as much money out of you by as possible by utilising ridicolous terms & conditions that resembles a pile of "poo-poo" gone bad. They reel you in by tempting you with luxurious cashback deals with conditions that are so idiotic and difficult to understand. The result is that YOU actually end up paying THEM "administration charges" for sending the claims in too early!
I would stay clear of those deals myself.0 -
Speaking as one who had a great deal before... got all my money back and then sold phone. I think they make they money on people not completing forms in time, or forgetting, cant be bothered etc.
Thats why its all important to get the timing exactly right!0
