I've been trying to update the channel list in my Samsung LCD TV using Autostore but it's not selecting all the channels. I was missing Channel 5 and after the scan, I had Channel 5 but the BBC stations were missing. I've rescanned both manually and automatically and now have BBC but am missing the ITV channels.:mad::mad::mad:
I had a new aerial a couple of years ago and the connections seem OK. A friend has suggested that atmospheric conditions could be a factor. Ideas please.

Could be where you live. The Digital Switch Over is starting and transmitters are being altered, with the Freeview multiplexes being moved to different channels.
That said, if it's heavy rain then you could be losing a signal.0 -
Leave the aerial cable out for a few seconds when you do a scan .Mine was same as yours but aerial guy got all the channels by leaving cable out a while0

Rain will not have an adverse effect on terrestrial TV, it can on satellite TV.
Atmospheric conditions in hot weather can have an adverse effect on terrestrial TV, but that often doesn't last for very long.
Bottom line, your TV Aerial is not up to the job and/or your TV has a very weak tuner in it.0 -
Ive heard of people having success by completely removing the aerial, scanning for channels, then reconnecting and rescanning (Dont ask me why cos it doesnt make sense to me):idea:0

Failing that id try a signal booster

First thing to do is go into the menu, system, and signal strength. My 19" Samsung in the bedroom wouldn't pick up 3 or 4, even after getting an aerial installed, and 2 other older set top boxes getting all the channels fine. My signal was 10%. Plugged in the old Pioneer freeview box in exactly the same place with same cables, 3 & 4 were just fine, Signal strength 90%. Dodgy tuner in the TV, and that was after coming back from the repair people. I'm getting a refund, can't be bothered chasing these problems in an otherwise nice TV.0
