  • Fraptious day, PADers!

My PAD today is £38.88 to the c/c to round my account down. I discovered this morning that, on top of the extra payments that this thread has encouraged me to make to my credit card in the past month or so since I joined, I have somehow also decreased my overdraft by £5.64 without even noticing! Heh. Small beans, I know, but still a cheery piece of news.

I just wanted also to give Thisisforthekids a well-earned pinch on the arm and pat on the back. You know this thread is good for you! Keep it UP! One day we will all be sitting on a beach somewhere laughing about our hard-up days and eyeing up the waiter's...ahem...pecs ;)

Thanks for that Thrifty, this thread has been great from day 1.

Don't think TIFTK will be joining you there pixie - he's not of that persuasion! ;)

I dont know, ill do anything for the right price, everyone has there price?

Glad your DD was fine angelic, my mother in law always has heart failue whenever im roughing up my son, im not going to hurt him, but if it was you maybe then pain would be the order of the day, thats a nice thought roughing up the mum in law.:D

Sorry cashless but I also found that story amusing, think everyone has them storys, My sister threw a dart in my head when I was a toddler, when after several warnings that if I did not move out the way I was going to be the dart board, she always did keep her promises.
This very often gets bought up at family gathering also.
  • Oh. Ha. Ewps! Still, men like to admire ladies' 'pecs' too, yes? ;)

While i'm here just wanted to put a shout out to Greenbynature too - about your puppy. Sorry, i'm newish here and i don't know what breed you have, but we used to have Cairn Terriers and they have a tendency to heart problems. I don't mean to worry you, and it could be nothing at all of course, but ours used to just stop dead and keel over, looking dazed. She was diagnosed with a heart condition and was given a pace maker :D I guess what I'm saying is i'd keep an eye on your pup. If it happens regularly i'd get him/her checked out for heart problems. :o

    Best of luck! x

Hi thanks for that, have spent half the day scaring myself to death on the internet!!! Most of what I've read has said something about either heart problems or anemia or some other condition! wish I hadn't looked now have really upset myself! Both her parents are heart scored 0 so am not sure if it is heart related (got my fingers crossed its not) Plus when she was at the vets for her jabs the vet gave her an overall examination and listened to her heart etc and found no problems apart from she's got an umbilical hernia which vet is hoping will be ok until she is spayed.

She's been ok today, am just wondering also if it could've been that she hadn't eaten since early morning, so there was a good few hours with nothing to eat? A bit like us if we don't eat?? think i am trying to convince myself here!!!

    Ahhh, so very true.

The favourites from my family are: 1) my brother trying to throw my sister down the stairs 'to see if she can fly' 2) my brother burying my sister's head in the sand (box) because she was too loud and annoying and 3) my other brother trying to 'hoover' the silly string out of my hair - he sprayed it into my hair in the first place and didn't want to get caught!

There are a lot more, but they are 3 of the funniest. And no, my brother and sister did not get on as kids! We all get on great now though! No more throwing each other down the stairs or trying to bury each other's heads in the sand! lol

My wee brother once found my (locked) diary and in the interests of science decided to see if he could break the lock with a coat hanger.

The first my dad knew of it is when he found me chasing the little begger round the house with the cast-iron poker :o

Then there was the time I punched him in the stomach two days he got out of hospital for getting his appendix out....I wasn't the best big sister :D
