Thanks Tattycath - I never ever want to be in this situation again. The stress of possibly losing my home has been unbelieveable. I'm not out the woods yet - I still have £25k of debt to pay off, but by god, I'm so determined to do it.
If my FT employer extended my contract for a year from Feb 2010 I would be debt free by my birthday in 2011.

Hello my lovely Pad-ers!
Just popping my head round the door to report in. My FT job messed up my pay, and have reimbursed me today. And I have just been paid for a job I did freelancing work in the Summer.
So I be having the cash to pay off the First Plus arrears today (and avoid house reposession next month in court :eek::eek::eek::eek: scary beyond belief and then some)...
    My PAD today is £4000.
I'm working so hard but I'm so happy and relieved I'd just had a little cry here in t'office (well I have to clean the work laptop somehow...)
I love this thread - I've made huge steps to kill off my debts thanks to all your encouragement....big kisses :A
    Love Sassers
    xx

Well done you :T:T:T:D I wouldn't worry about the crying I think we've all done it at some point!

  • Three Italian nuns die and go to heaven.
At the Pearly Gates, they are met by St. Peter.
He says, "Sisters, you all led such exemplary lives that the Lord is granting you six months to go back to earth and be anyone you wish to be."
The first nun says, "I want to be Sophia Loren" and *!!!!!!* she's gone.
The second says, "I want to be Madonna and *!!!!!!* she's gone.
The third says, "I want to be Sara Pipalini..."
St. Peter looks perplexed. "Who?" he asks.
    "Sara Pipalini" replies the nun.
St. Peter shakes his head and says, "I'm sorry, but that name just doesn't ring a bell."
The nun then takes a newspaper out of her habit and hands it to St. Peter.
St. Peter reads the paper and starts laughing.
He hands it back to her and says, "No sister, the paper says it was the 'Sahara Pipeline' that was laid by 1,400 men in 6 months."
