ETA: even the cat is taking an interest in - admittedly only because she wants to sleep in the box, but still!

    Just a little PaD today:

£1 cap 1 - thank you Mac for all the totals x

OH now has no income, so my PaDs will be made when i get paid on Friday. I need to be sure i'm up to date with everything for the month so i don't have to deal with the stress of reminder "you have not paid" letters!

Catchooky - i've only just read your post about OH's job - how amazing would that be? Will keep fingers crossed it works out

Piggin - glad you had a good hol. Welcome back! You too DT - hope you're rested now x

Mumof4 - how are you feeling today? Sorry you feel like everything's getting on top of you :wall: :smileyhea a sprinkle of love for you. Some eejit has stolen the wiper blades off my car. I was tired when i noticed yesterday anyway, so to say my mood was grim is an understatement!!

Euro - glad you had a fab, albeit expensive time

F_f - did you survive work with your dodgy ears???

Danko - you is very naughty :p

    Take care all

    Hey all,

It's the OH's 30th on Friday, his brother arrives at 5.30pm today and I'm going to get his main present(s) - budget dependent - tomorrow evening (late night shopping).

I have plans to make a home made chicken and mushroom pie as he really misses that from home.

But, I was also thinking of getting loads of silly decorations to put around the flat before he gets up on Friday. I would love to bake him a cake too, but I don't have the time or the space/ability to hide it from him.

So, I was planning to buy a nice but cheap cake (it only needs to provide a slice each for 3 people :) ) but I was wondering if any of you lovely people had any fab MSE ideas for the decorations etc? Or perhaps you could point me in the direction of a thread about it all.

    Thanks x

At work and coping badly - quick post while on lunch! Am on a training course where they keep trying to teach me Japanese terms and I could barely cope with English today. Granny's tired :rotfl:

Thanks Hopeful, and everyone else who sent hugs and thoughts.
Todays a new day so feeling much better :D

OMG Hopeful I cannot believe someone nicked your wiper blades, what a pointless and very annoying crime  why would anyone want to do that??
Hope theyre not expensive to replace?

Hubby and I have been talking about changing the car as its only a 5 seater and now theres 6 of us its about as much use as a chocolate teapot but, now we have to replace the whole wingmirror and housing and its MOT is due next week

Still, on to better news, dd slept over at my mums last night so ive had a lovely relaxing morning, I still have the other 3 here but its bliss without the girls bickering :D

Got to go shopping but im delaying it as much as possible cos im hating having to spend instead of PaD :D which reminds me £10 to platinum today

Oh also, on the subjest of better things and good news, only 1 week to go till the kids are back in school **woop woop**

TIFTK: I think Andy missed that comment about the football, be warned though, we do have a least 2 supporters on here so shhhh ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Take care everyone and have a great Hump day :T

    £2.99 today

I have just spent half an hour on the phone to the student loan company after receiving a statement saying I hadn't paid anything off it in 07/08 tax year....I paid over £1000!! Luckily I have my P60's showing this and have to send it in with a letter so they can find out where it has gone!! Oh so annoying, I suppose that means they have charged interest on that amount...who has been getting my money????
