Hi All
I am thinking of buying a PAYG Samsung Tocco which is on T-Mobile, can anybody tell me if my O2 sim will work in this phone?? To buy the O2 version from the same company is £50 dearer!!??
Thanks for looking
I think it depends on where you buy it from. I'm sure I've read on these forums that all PAYG phones sold by Carphone Warehouse are sold unlocked.0 -
If it is locked to the T-Mobile network, then just get it unlocked. It will cost around £5-15 depending where you go. Still works out cheaper than buying it on O20

If you are looking for one particular model being sold by one shop with a separate SIM pack, these are unlocked.
If SIM pack is inside the box, its locked.
Let me explain>
You need tocco on T and I need tocco on O2, they would get two toccos out with one sim each and give one to both of us. Hence they are unlocked. Its just their way of making money. O2 is always dearer. Must be living in $$$$'s world.
The models available on multi-network from single shop are usually unlocked. Save those £5-15 as well.Colliefrog wrote: »If it is locked to the T-Mobile network, then just get it unlocked. It will cost around £5-15 depending where you go. Still works out cheaper than buying it on O2

How good is this phone? In comparison with Nokia 5800?0
-
Nokia 5800 is better, but more expensive, although some may prefer the software interface on the tocco lite.
I can second that.
I have both 5800 and but tocco ultra. 5800 has the ease of qwerty keboard but tocco has sliding keypad. Also, you can update the latest firmware from nokia PC suite but need to flash tocco for latest firmware.
5800 has WLAN whereas tocco does not. You can browse internet if you have access to wireless network on your nokia but not on tocco. Was this post useful to you? Feel free to click the thanks button--¬ :beer:0 -
