Well we've read them twice now and they have also come round to read it, think its the cooker that eats all the power up, might just run an extension lead from the communal hallway. . lol. Looking at getting an owl device to check, looking at most peoples bills it looks about right for a electric only household £90-£110pm, just trying to think of ways to cut it back apart from living in darkness and eating take-a-ways. . lol

Then unless you have the cooker on all day there must be something seriously wrong with it! I work from home quite a bit so have a lot of elec on all day, where others wouldn't.

We have gas heating, but in the summer, we never use gas (never have the heating on), so we only use elec, including for the heating water, and it's £30 a month and it's a big house. However we are efficient, we turn everything off from standby when not is use, but the immersion heater is on for about 2 hours a day in the summer and that uses quite a bit.

We switched most of our lights to energy saving ones, except halogens in bathroom and good reading lamps in the sitting room, about a year ago, and that saved about £10 a month.

If my summer elec only bill was £100 a month I'd be very upset!

I think our electric DD is about £80 pm. 3 of us here in a 2 bed house, all out at work all day. Electric cooker but gas water & heating.

Hmmmmm. . were the same here, everything off at the plug (apart from the wireless router and time capsule), nothing left on standby, i'm gonna have to look into this further me thinks as its only a 2 bedroomed top floor flat, the only thing I can think it is, is when we first moved in, we just used what we wanted and had the heater on in the spare room to dry washing, we have tallied up a £165 debit and maybe they are adjusting our DD payments to allow for this to be paid off before the next spring Tried asking them but you can never get any decent help from them.

Ok thats food for thought, its just hard to work out as we have only been here 6 months and i've never had an electric only home.
