Mobile broad band coverage in uk on payg

Does anyone know which operator has the best uk coverage. I have a T-Mobile dongle and it drives me mad on train journeys, as it keeps losing its connections. Is there a website that shows coverage for all operators?

Don't think you'll find too much difference. Railway line have tunnels and cuttings which no network will cover.

What about using it on coaches, would I have the same problem?

Probably to a lesser degree (fewer tunnels). But roads still pass through unpopulated areas, and you will be moving from mobile cell to mobile cell, so you'l never get a seamless connection on the move, any more than you would with a mobile phone.
Decent mobile broadband reception requires a 3G signal, which is by no means universal outside the urban areas.

Having just transferred from tmobile i'll think you should find any other network better signal wise. O2 generally gives me the best signal but will depend on the areas you pass through.
