Buy a Sony Ericsson from Carphone Warehouse on line, it works out at £39.95 inc £10 air time, these phones are unlocked and come with a 512 mb SD card, that can be expanded. Go through Quidco for £5 back. HTH

I have had phones which do that-

I had the Sony Ericsson W850i which was excellent, and the Sony Ericsson W610i which was ok but had no radio. But the problem I had with Sony Ericsson (and this is not the same with Sony without the Ericsson in the name) is that my computer would not recognise it- transferring data was impossible. I contacted Sony Ericsson who were less then helpful, advising me to redo my registry on my computer (even providing me with a site to use to do this) which I since have found caused irreparable damage..

Nokias are also great, I had the N95 8gb which was excellent (but very expensive and got stolen from me) to be replaced by a Nokia Slide 6500 which was a good little phone- I have to say it never matched the phone it was replacing for me, but without having that comparison, its a good phone- you can drop it, its still works (unlike many others) its very simple to use and combine with computers and download/upload things. Well recommended. It was all of what your asking for. Not sure on prices but it can't be too expensive if I was able to be given it by 3 when my phone was stolen.

Hello bigangus

I'll move your thread to the 'Mobile Phones' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Hi Gang
Thanks to all who have contributed
having looked into the situation, i think i will do the MSE thing
and just buy a cheap 2Gig ish mp3 player
all i wanted was 1 thing less to carry around:)
so will look for 1 of those mp3 players with a card slot, and
an internal battery, so i can just plug it in. instead of using
rechargeable batteries
Thanks again
