rip blu-ray, shrink, burn to dvd?

    As far as I know there are no all-in-one backup solutions such as ConvertXtoDVD available for blu-ray (yet).

    I've converted mine to DVD but it's something of an arcane art involving a suite of separate programs including indexers, frameservers, video and audio transcoders, muxers...

    definately not something for beginners.

    im not really a beginner though, apart from to the bluray side of things

    anyways! the relatives have decided to buy a bluray player so i shall just lend them the discs so no need for recommendations. just hoe they start making more software with bluray support now
