I often buy Bruno's superchunks (Tesco own brand value dog food) which cost 79p a tin. I went in for some more yesterday and they had gone up to 89p. When I commented on the sudden big jump I was told, it's the VAT that's gone back on. What? by 10p? I'm sure there are other threads on the forum about supermarkets hiking up prices (obviously not food though) but pretending it's because of VAT, - it seems a shocking excuse.

It's back to Netto own brand now, which is priced better. I always mix half and half with dried dog food anyway, it's just the principle I can't do with.

Downshifter- I seem to have that problem with the complete cat crunchies Tescos own brand i buy them from my tesco express as mentioned before for 99p for a 1kg box then they seem to go up 10p for a while then they go back down. You never know where you are with them, i know it's still not a bad deal but why does the price change so much through the year.May ask the manager if he knows why when i see him milling around next!.

Morrisons have Oh So cat food on offer at !/2 price £2-14 instead of £4-28 a bargain if you use it as cheapest food deals £3 limt 3 per person took my d/d and stocked up .

It is for packs of 12 x 85g pouches

My local Tesco are selling twin packs (2 x 12) of Whiskas pouches for £4. Meat Assortment in Gravy and Fish Assortment in Jelly only, but it still works out as a good deal considering their other Whiskas offer is any two single 12 packs for £6.

My 3 cats are so snobby they only eat the new Felix premium one with the little steaklets....grrr...but they do polish off the whole bowl...and they are cute
