We have been paying £25 per month for the broadband and using minimal calls. I rang saying I was going to switch to BT to take advantage of Talk Talk and got offored free broadband for 9 months. What a saving !! a very happy money saver

Did you speak to the cancellations dept or just the customer care dept?

I just called the Telewest cancellation line on 0800 073 0591 to say I wanted to go back to BT/Talk Talk/ADSL. They were very friendly and gave me 3 months at half price with the promise to talk again about a better deal in three months' time.

Not exactly nine months free but it brings things down.

I just phoned Telewest (without checking on here first!) and told the Customer services guy that I was thinking about Talk Talk. He immediately cut my bill from £25 to £15 for three months with an option to talk about it after that. As it was exactly the saving I would have made with Talk Talk I agreed straight away. It pays to ask!!

Got £3 off for 6 months. Have line rental and 2mb broadband, so was paying £28.49 per month, better than nothing, saves £18. I was told to phone back in 6 months to check the deals again.
