Thanks for your advice. Like I said all 3 break lights have gone so like the above post I doubt they have all blown, i'll have a look for the switch on the break pedal, ( would this easily and cheaply be fixed at a garage?)

    Thanks again

have you not even checked the bulbs? if they are blown they will be a bit black inside the glass.

The third one on cars is normally LED which last just about forever, my money is on a fuse or switch

a lot of the fords around this age didnt have led 3rd brake lights, i thought they were too untill i took my 3rd brake light apart on my focus and found it to be the old 501 bulbs in there, three of them aswell, i was however replacing it for an led one.

like i said it happened to me and all bulbs were blown because they were on all the time, check the bulbs first this will be much easier than checking the switch, youwould need a multimeter to test it,bulbs need a visual check.

    Hi

Someone behind me yesterday got out of their car and told me none of my brake lights are working ! (i've got 3)

I've got a Ford fiesta style 05 plate. Was only MOT'd last month in which they replaced one break light that was out. Could this have something to do with it?

Does anyone know what the problem could be and is it easy ( and cheap) to fix?

    Thanks for your help

Are you actually sure they are not working?

No, not a daft answer, but i had some one do the same to me. Pulled up at the lights, and he got out from behind and started ranting about no brake lights, easy as my car was open top. At this point I invited him to check them.
    He did, all fine:rolleyes:

I had simply slowed on the overun and gears and pulled the handbrake as I slowed to a stop. He must have been asleep when I slowed :rolleyes:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
