Hi
Someone behind me yesterday got out of their car and told me none of my brake lights are working ! (i've got 3)
I've got a Ford fiesta style 05 plate. Was only MOT'd last month in which they replaced one break light that was out. Could this have something to do with it?
Does anyone know what the problem could be and is it easy ( and cheap) to fix?
Thanks for your help

Fords always seem to have iffy rear light arrangements. Sometimes bulbs blow in fairly short time with another. Or is could just be a simple brake switch. The man without a signature.0

I take it you have checked the lights out yourself to see which ones are out0

I was going to say the same, someone stopped next to me at a garage the other day, and said both my brake lights where'nt working on my VW T4. Got my kids to check for me and both lights where working.

Obviously check yourself and if they're all not working it's most likely the switch beneath the brake pedal (though i think somebody already said this)0

Check the fuse - but some models have twin switches/fuses for safety so if one fails you don't lose everything.
check the Switch behind the back of the brake pedal, it will be near the top.
confirm it's actuating, confirm it has power.
Check the bulbs- just in case they really have all blown at once
oh, and don't drive until they are fixed.0 -
i had a ford transit connect and all brake lights stopped working, i checked and every bulb had blown, i then found out every bulb had blown because they had been on constantly, the plate on the brake pedal that makes contact with the switch was in need of adjustment, quick bend with a set of vice grips and all was well again....work permit granted!0

The third one on cars is normally LED which last just about forever, my money is on a fuse or switch0

Thanks for your advice. Like I said all 3 break lights have gone so like the above post I doubt they have all blown, i'll have a look for the switch on the break pedal, ( would this easily and cheaply be fixed at a garage?)
Thanks again0 -
If its 3 lights I hazard a guess its the fuse. Have you checked the rear lights work as they use the same bulb although different filament0
