FREE Online DVD rental free trials. A WARNING

Uh oh, I got caught out with screen select as well. I thought it was a 5 DVD trial, end of story. Turns out the first payment date was 2nd May, so I've just continued for this month, and will defo cancel in time.
Haven't received my voucher yet, either."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
My wife and I have tried the ScreenSelect rental via the dvd.co.uk free £20 voucher offer and found it was great - no problems experienced.
However, I must admit we made sure we got the DVDs back to them well in advance of the trial's end date PLUS we made sure we got a proof of posting from the P.O. for our last returns!!
Yes, I agree with vinylmusic that they rely on people not sending DVDs back by the due date and then getting at least one month's subs off them. They know what they're doing!! But! Play them at their own game and keep a calendar with your deadlines on and you shouldn't go wrong. That's the theory anyhow! ;-)
One thing to note: (In the case of www.dvd.co.uk's offer) I too was wondering when I'd receive the £20 voucher and, after a week I was about to send an email to dvd.co.uk to enquire. However, I was just going through my junk mail/spam folder in my BT account when I spotted the voucher email!! I swiftly classed it as "Not spam" and got it through to my normal Inbox. Therefore, I'd ask people looking for vouchers to check any spam/junk mail folders either in Outlook etc. or by going to their ISP's web-based email folders and having a look.
All the best, J0 -
I got my voucher. My daughter took great delight in buying a futurama box set (makes a change from simpsons! :j) and digimon dvd!

Hi everyone,
I've just cancelled my free trial and so far it has gone ok. Fortunately I'd already carried out all the actions that vinylmusic has recommended - must be in my naturally suspicious nature that I look for catches and preempt them.
Even though I've received their final cancellation e-mail and verified my account is cancelled via the web, I'm still checking my credit card on Friday - just to be sure.
Regarding the £20 voucher, I had to e-mail them for it.
Angela, where did you use your voucher? I was under the impression that they don't sell DVDs, they just rent."He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0
