Yes I know. I did put that on hold until this one was sorted. Now need to dig all the paperwork out and get cracking on with it. I am a bit confused with the Click one. As they are no longer operating, how comes FSCS can't deal with that one? Initally, I sent the twopart one to FOS and it was them that forwarded it onto FSCS so will sent to FOS and see what they suggest I think. In for another long stressful time trying to sort it out, buy hey, it is soooooo worth it! It couldn't have come at a better time for us. x

That's the way Thunders, one thing at a time.:T

The reason why the FSCS are unable to deal with Click is because Click were not regulated when you or myself taken out the loan with them back in the years we both did, the FSCS are only able to deal with claims who have been regulated if you know what I mean. (like the FOS - they are only able to investigate if regulated).

Where Twopart was covered by FSA when you taken out your loan, mine was taken out in Nov 2005, so it was protected by the FSA, but Click finance unfortunately were not. In this case because these were protected/governed, the FSCS could deal with Twopart.

Another reason here why I have gone the insurer direction with Click Finance.;)

Its going to be tricky this one then....... The insurer won't accept liability though if they didn't sell it, will they? Please jog my memory.... sorry to be a pain..... what do i need to do now then and who do I send my complaint to? I wrote to insurer and go no where.

I know what your saying, but it is actually the FOS who are telling people to go this direction due to these regulating reasons and if companies have gone down under as such.
They are trying to make these responsible as well as they do have a responsibility alongside with the broker in regards of the insurance, also to make sure you would be eligible then for example.
However, the only snag is it may take some time.
Its only been over the last year or more the FOS are suggesting this if the broker is no longer on hand.

What you need to do in your case try to get hold of the policy details, your lender and not click should provide these to you on request, then you write to these about the mis selling of PPI, where you believe you were mis sold due to the reasons you have.

The main of us have received letters from the insurers to say no, but at least these were regulated/governed, so where-as you can then move on to the FOS.

However, another way you can do this is to contact the FOS, explain your situation about Click dissolved, and ask if you should pursue the insurer instead, and/or ask if they could find out for you who the insurer was and to write on your behalf, they did this with one of mine to the insurer.;)

Me again..... sorry to sound stupid...... I know who the insurer is and wrote to them and obviously they said it wasn't their fault etc.... does this mean I need to complain about the mis sell to FOS but put the insurer details rather than the broker? is that what you mean?
