Has anyone asked the FSCS what they see as mis selling?DS1 12/10/04

I think the only way they could not uphold these single premium policies is if they had a phone call copy or letter stating the followingThat is a good point you make - who should be first named. My daughter wasn't aware it only covered one of them.
But then I'm not sure she was even aware of what she was doing. She was actually being treated for post natal depression when she signed up for this rubbish This was her second episode in five years after two traumatic births, even if she :mad:had of been first named, she wouldn't be paid out anything as their medical history was not discussed.
The 900% is probably correct- very scary isn't it, what they get away with when people are at their lowest.
Do you know of any of the reasons when they were not upheld
I would like an insurance policy please that covers just myself (although I want my OH to also be liable for it if I default on it) and also one that costs near on as much as the money as I am loaning from you (but i want you to hide the ACTUAL COST) cause I actually love to buy things at very extortionate rates. I also want it to only cover me for the first 5 years although my loan is over 20 years cause then I want to still owe all the interest on it and then take out another one the same and so on until the end of my loan.
Maybe something like this would make it sold fairly.0 -
you are spot on there marshallka I think by the sounds of it all these single premium policies have been upheld because of the cover being for five years only but payments for the whole term I cannot imagine anyone agreeing to this rubbish if we were told about it in the first place. It is like going to buy a car and the salesman saying you can only have it for a year but you have to pay for it for five.;)marshallka wrote: »I think the only way they could not uphold these single premium policies is if they had a phone call copy or letter stating the following

Pinknico I havent personally but I dont think they would tell us anyway do you?0 -
We were the same we wernt aware either. The profit these companies are making is extortionate. it shouldnt be allowed. They get people when they are at their weakest unfortuantly. That is a good point you make - who should be first named. My daughter wasn't aware it only covered one of them.

Did you mean you have already paid £20000 or that is what you would pay over the term
It was a 25 year loan and the PPI only covered the first 5 years although like all of you we had to pay for it for 25 years. I hope that makes sensedialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -
