Bottom line I think is that the FSCS are drowning.....They simply were not designed to cope with the amount of work they have been expected to do over the last year.

Remember they've had to deal with ICEsave, Landesbank and a host of others that went belly up a while back and the system they work within isn't designed for speed.

Basically the FSCS is an oil tanker not a speed boot and it takes a long time to change direction even if there is a bloddy great iceberg in the way!

    That is very true Gumbi.;)

My mum was telling me that her sister (my aunt) is one of those to do with ICESAVE as well, she only told me this weekend, and I think its only now that her's have been sorted, so yeah a HUGE backlog I expect.

Granted gumbi but they KNEW of this large amount of work they would be enduring from a couple of years ago and things are going to get worse too.

    Brilliant thanks Marshallka :T.
Can't remember the site you use to find this info?
Have not been on there in ages.

    Cheers.

Funny thing is we have not heard from the liquidators at all, we did contact them as advised by the FSCS and they did not write back, or get back on the phone, goodness knows how many times we tried.
All they said though was when we did get through is that we had to go to the FSCS though.
