Cancelling a contract? Possible?

I'm guessing obviously that I cant cancel a contract phone but am hoping that I am wrong in that belief. I am having to tighten my belt and £35 contract just isnt feesable now, 3 wont let me down the plan only up so I'm figuring I'm stuck?

Just wanted to check incase I can get out!

Thanks

You are guessing correctly. They will not let you out you're contract. they will let you drop to lower tariffs at some point during the contract, but probably by only one drop a month, not straight to the lowest tariff.
