Thanks for this I am with EON on their capped rate that ends in Oct 09. This was a really good rate before the prices went sky high. I have decided to switch to this fixed rate and it will cost me £17 a YEAR increase which is FAB and much better than the £100 plus standard rate they would have put me on.
I'm happy and if prices do fall dramatically I can pay the £30 get out charge.
Thanks again. The good you do comes back to you.DFW Long haul supporters No: 1340 -
I see, despite regular resolutions from their representatives here, as usual the tariff details is not available on E-on's web site. Due to the way the structure is usually tightly tied to an average consumption this is shameful.
(And they do not allow to enter you useage in kWhs. Again, considering the targeting to a national average, this is shameful.)0 -

I too have looked on EON's website and can't find their tariff prices anywhere!
A lot of these online tariffs are not available to anyone with an "hours restricted meter" (economy 7). This must exclude a awful lot of people, including me, from getting what appears to be a good deal.0 -
(Tracked it down elsewhere (no thanks to E-on).) Price includes 18.9% of discounts (will vary with region). (Cue Carmine.)
Even more targeted against low users than British Gas Web Saver 4. (Not that that is unreasonable. Just saying.)0 -
No changes on standard and 'social' tariffs?
This looks like an attempt to get those on quarterly standard tariffs to go for online billing. Chances are if the benefit is only marginal they might be better waiting for pressure on standard tariffs.0 -

Economy 7 meters are not resrticted hours meter. RHT meters are in general where you have 2 supply numbers e.g economy 10, heatwise etc0 -

Thanks stewie. That restricts me from the EDF V5 deal (specifically mentions economy 7) but maybe not the new EON deal.
Can anyone advise of the EON tariff prices as I really can't find them on their website.0 -

Check the comparison sites for a breakdown. (EG, energylinx.co.uk includes them.) The E-on site will only tell you the unit prices and monetary total of the discounts.)
I went to Energyhelpline and did a comparison. I'm currently with a Scottish Power fixed price deal ending 31/08.
Energyhelpline says.
1) Eon fixonline 3
2) British Gas websaver 4
3) Scottish Power online saver 6
I also managed to find the EON tariff prices.
It is difficult for me to make a comparison based purely on tariff prices as at the moment I am paying a standing charge. All the above tariffs are non standing charge.
The SP online saver 6 seems to have a slightly cheaper tariff, although again difficult to judge, as the first number of KwH at the higher rates varies between companies.
I guess Eon is top of the list purely because of the discounts?0
