Mobile phone not delivered on date promised - Almost a week delay !
I lost my contract mobile, and after phoning the mobile company, I took the Option to purchase a PAYG mobile (on which the mobile company will be providing me with a replacement SIM linked to my contract).
This order was confirmed by e-mail, which stated that the phone will be delivered on the 20th August.
Today, I have telephoned the mobile company, only to be told that the order got 'stuck' in the system, and most lickly that the phone will not be delivered until Tuesday.
Other than me enquirying about the wherabouts, the mobile company has not contacted me of any delay to my order !
A day was wasted having to stay at home waiting for the delivery !
What is the best approach, to complain to the mobile company !
Should I be offered anything for my inconvience ?

Personally, I would be so annoyed, I'd cancel the order and get another from an outlet in town tomorrow.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

received phone, but still awaiting for replacement sim card (which was order prior to the phone being ordered)
As I received the phone on Monday, bit unable to use without SIM, I once again phoned the mobile company, whio are now saying , the SIM can now take upto 10 days for delivery !
What delivery service takes 10 days !0 -
Which mobile company, please? That would be useful for MSE members to know.0

don't wish to name mobile company , as this may just be a one off problem !
Will be writing a letter to them once SIM received, and then when existing contract has expired, will remind them of this occasion.0 -
A mobile company wont tend to contact you if there is a problem, simply because there isn't anyone checking every single account for problems.
Did they not give you the option to tract it online? This will tell you if it got stuck at their end, or once it was in the couriers hands. The amount of times I've seen "Unable to deliver, insufficient address" is beyond me.
An email for letter would be preferable, calm and collected explaining that had you have know you would have had the waiting times involved then perhaps you wouldn't have bothered. You might get £10 off your line rental or so but don't expect too much.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
I could track the mobile on-line.
It was from that screen that prompt me to ring the mobile company, to enquire the wherabouts of the phone.
I had a similar problem with Virgin Mobile - received confirmation e-mail of order & delivery date, but when rang after it was due, Virgin had no record of the order - even though payment had been taken for delivery !
That prompted me to change company0
