Hi,
I have had a payment offer of £1,127 from Halifax for the charges even though the actual amount is over £2,000 I want to take it obviously continue fighting for the rest but I don't use my Halifax account anymore and really need the money for other more urgent debts, I have just rang them and they have refused what can I do????

Is the account still open? How have they said they will refund the charges?

The likelihood is that it remains open for credits to the account. Unfortunately, it is reasonable to repay it into the account where the charges came from. Can I ask whether that puts the account in credit or clears any amount outstanding?Hi,
