Free Motorola V3 unlocking code

Hi,
I hope i am doing this correctly, as I am a 1st timer, you might say I am a 'chat forum virgin'
Can any one advise me on how to unlock a V3 from vodaphone so I can use my Orange sim?

or do it yourself with the usb cable included but you'll need to find the software.

I got my unlocking software for my V3 from ebay it cost £12 at the time.

My local market was charging £17 to do it

Unless someone has come up with some new software, the USB and software option only worked on older firmware versions...if it works on new versions I'd appreciate a link

I unlocked my V3 using a usb cable and software bought from ebay and my phone has the new version :R374_E_0E.42.0 which is the newest i believe for the V3 phone.

i think the bit your missing is that your using a server to unlock your phone not standalone software because there is a free one but its difficult to use for begineers. credits for the jic server are about £8.00, more if you use ebay.
