i quiet often find my son ( whos 5) on the floor asleep with his duvet over him when i check on him before I go to bed . I leave him there becuase i couldn;t lift him back onto his top bumk without a) waking him and b) doing myself some damage. he doesn;t seem to be suffering any ill effects .

I'd say whatever works for your daughter let it happen .

  • My daughter used to sleep in her Fisher Price aquarium swing (four yrs ago), or on the corner of the sofa, or in a basket! She was another one who didn't like her cot. Fine by me. I was able to keep it up until she was about six months, at which time she was happier to go into her cot. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

My eldest would never sleep in a normal cot but slept soundly in her travel cot from about 4months until i put her into a toddler bed at 15months, there is certainly no problems in any aspect with her.
