Fly in two weeks and no tickets !

Sorry to start a new thread I am a bit scared.

Booked holiday in february for 4th september due to fly two weeks tomorrow. The tickets are in my friends name and she has had no phone call or tickets from the co op travel. Is this right? I'm nervous. What will happen if they got lost in the post? Would we recieve them again or not? Sorry I am a bit unclued up to what will happen.

Many thanks.

Definitely call Co-Op Travel to get clarification of what should happen and whether you should receive anything in the post.

Beware that because everything is in your friend's name that they may only deal with your friend.
I'm sure this won't be a problem if you pose as her (I assume) but just consider it.

    Good luck

Sending out tickets 2 weeks before departure is the norm, so it might be on it's way. But do ask - if they can't give you specific advise, they can advise if that is normal policy.

Thanks for all the replies. I was/am a bit worried as its only two weeks and I have never been abroad so I dont know when they should arrive etc. I was meant be going down today but my friend has let me down saying she cannot be bothered when she should be bothered.

Brighton - We booked it at the travel agents. Sorry I missed your question before.

Thomson and Thomas Cook agents at the time of booking should advise you that tickets can arrive up to 5 days before the date of departure

Thomson themselves had a printing problem which resulted in quite a few travellers having to collect tickets from the airport desk.

I don't think you have anything to worry about
  • They usually arrive at weekends, so maybe tomorrow but remember there have been tons of postal delays. Don't worry.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

We got the tickets yesterday. Well I say ticket it is an 'e-ticket' and we have to ring a number 48 hours before we are due to fly.
