HELP! reclaiming cashback issue
Hello,
if anyone could help me I would be most grateful. I took a mobile contract out with a company whereI could reclaim cashback. I sent the form in on time, but then received a letter saying I had missed the date.
I phoned the company up and they said they had no record of when they received it and if I couldn't prove when I sent it, by receipt from post office I couldn't have cash back.
Do I have a leg to stand on. Someone has suggested writing to them, threatening legal action???
Thanks

They wouldn't send a letter saying you'd missed the date unless they received it. You need to prove that they did and when or no legs. Fundamental error if you left yourself (and your legs) exposed, I'm afraid!0

Hi, are you saying that you do not have proof of postage - if not I think you are stuffed. Although it costs about £6 I have always sent claims by Special Delivery plus Conseqential Loss, therefore if it does go missing in the post you are also covered for the loss of all subsequent claims and being Special Delivery means that it is guaranteed next day delivery.0
