The simple answer to that one is ZERO - but I can see how paying the UK's high taxes (when all are taken into account) p1sses people off.

    Simple.
Vote for someone who will stop all that "waste" that offends you so much. Then see how much they save you.

Not having a viable alternative to vote for doesn't mean we should be happy that a big portion of our money is squandered. I for one will be voting for one of the more insignificant parties at the next election as a protest.

I admit everyone is happy enough to sit around complaining but then does nothing about it. Meanwhile the tax situation becomes more and more ridicilous - i.e. the attempt to scrap the 10p tax, VAT will no doubt go up to 20% at the end of this year and now councils are looking at taxing business who have parking spaces on their private land.

interesting video, really makes you think. totally agree with the dumbin down. Does make you wonder about the Rothschilds and their influence - seems Peter Mandelson always seem to be holidaying there.

In the UK, isn't it true, that from Jan - till June all the time you work you are working for the tax man, after June the rest of your hard earned work is yours.

Dumbing down is happening with the processed foods, the swine flue (where not as many people took the jab for as the pharmacists expected)

Rothchilds and their influence? they are gearing us towards the New world order!

i'd add the royal family to the list of things i don't feel i should pay for.

why not add a lottery incentive onto tax paying? so every pound you pay in tax buys you an entry into a massive raffle for a multimillion pound draw every year.

would take away some of the pain.

I believe that the underlying problem is the belief in "democracy" as the best way to elect politicians and keep them in check.

Governments tend to raises taxes believing that they can spend it so well that they will be re-elected. They also use this money to "buy" votes through tax-breaks for certain groups or by making people's employment dependent on the government of the day.

If governments weren't obsesed with re-election they could raise/spend money in a sensible way.

For example. Hammersmith is a marginal area politically so the last council borrowed, taxed and spent massively to buy votes. On the other side of the river Wandsworth has always been dominated by one party and council tax is now £600 less a year.

The very fact that someone wants to be a politician should disqualify them from the post.
