Wireless Wont Turn On

A friend of mine has just phoned me up unable to connect to the internet via wireless.
She has an acer extensa 5630z she has tried sliding the wireless switch on the front but no matter how many times she does it it wont turn the light on and she has no connection.
Does anyway know a way of doing it manually rather than via the switch?

Doing it via the sliding switch is doing it manually. :wall:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Does anyone know if it is repairable and how much it would cost roughly?

yes its there and when she goes to connect to a network it says that it is turned off and there are no available connections. I set the wireless up for her about 3/4 weeks ago after the lan port decided to stop working so at the mo she doesnt even have the lan as an alternative to use0 -
Go to Start, controll pannel, network connections, wireless connection and click "enable"
It may have been disabled by accident.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

I have just gone through it with her and in her network and sharing centre it is only showing the lan connection and not the wireless connection it seems to have gone completly
