Capital One Credit Limit increase...

Capital One increased my limit today! I sent them a secure message yesterday & today i had a phonecall off a lovely man who said i am a very good customer, they dont want to lose me etc etc! The message i sent i asked for a £100 increase due to a family crisis (from £200). I had my account for 18 months, had 1 late payment, the very 1st payment due, as i didnt receive a statement! So pleased to get the raise, need it to buy some new glasses!!!! When i logged into my account they have increased it by £200 not just the £100 i asked for, happy days!!!0

Do you think they could tell me over the phone what they may increase my limit to at the end of the month? Or is it totally computer generated and they can't predict it?0

Thought I'd update to say that Cap1 put my limit up to £1,000 today :beer:0

Opened account March 2008. Limit £100. No sign of increase since then. was bankrupt June 2002 but for last few years have been rebuilding credit and now have cards from others so not too bothered about Capital One's reluctance.
Never missed or been late with payments - so thought I would ask why no increase:
I opened my account 17 months ago and my credit limit was £100. It is still £100 limit. Should this not have been increased by now?
Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, we're unable to review your credit limit at the moment. However, we regularly review all our accounts internally and when your account is eligible for an increase, we'll write and let you know. I'm sorry for the disappointment this causes. If you have any other queries, please send us a further secure message.
I opened mine in 2005 and only got an increase this year from £200 to £800!
I haven't conducted my account badly in the past, although I didn't always manage to pay the balance in full. However for the past year and a half I pay the balance off in full, and now I get offered an increase. I think the two go hand in hand, but this is just my experience.Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £300 -

Ohh thats harsh, i've had my account with them for 7 months, i foolishly went over the initial balance of £100 by maxing it out thinking this would show i was actually using it, but obviously with charges it went over
but since then i've only used it to 40% balance, and paid it in full a week before due date.
Do we think its worth sending them a message? im aware they will probably send me an automated message back stating that they review individual cases as an when they like but i'd like an increase as its quite handy now and then for me.

well i've asked for a limit increase and i got one only of £100 but its a posistive impact on my credit rating i guess, only reason i got this though (dont all go ringing trying to get one!) however is that i was somehow overlooked after my fourth statement when ranging credit increases the woman was very helpful, so quite pleased all in all.0
