How do you keep the bottoms on your trousers clean and dry in the wet?

I have the same problem, all my trousers are heel length and get wet walking to work. I'm trying pop studs inside - a couple inside right at the bottom, with the other half sewn, still inside, a few inches further up the leg so that you can button them up inside. Kind of like a buttoned up hem.
  • I slip the backs of trousers inside my flats under my heels. This saves them dragging and from the front you wouldn't notice. Worth a try! :)

Wow, there are lots of suggestions here - I do really like the draw string option, although I am not sure I'll be putting into action!

    Thank you all!

Buy yourself a dirt cheap pair of black washable trousers (they go with anything) from a charity shop, wear them for your commuting walking journeys and change when you get to work. It won't then matter if they get ruined and you can still wash them when they get grubby.
  • I have seen something called Zakkerz Sets on the internet. They have magnets inside which you put over your trousers and it keeps them up. Has anyone tried these?
