How do you keep the bottoms on your trousers clean and dry in the wet?

Do you have a locker or desk draw at work where you could leave your work shoes and trousers overnight? That way you would only have extra to carry when they need cleaning.0

Ugg type boots and tuck them in. Comfy wedge heel shoes.
Or be a scruffy and turn them up while you walk and take them down when you pop your shoes on."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
Turn them up. Or wear a skirt, or cropped trousers.
In heavy rain the other summer I used to find the best solution for the walk from the tram was a skirt, no tights and flip flops. I'd change for court shoes at work and be dry in no time. In winter get some cute wellies or wellybobs, check out the Joules website for ideas. Or wear a skirt/cropped trousers and knee length boots.0 -
well is it better to look a bit silly (not that imo wellies look silly) for a short while or look silly from having holey scruffy trousers?
ok hows this for a ingenious suggestion - sew some roman blind rings and cord inside all yours trousers so you can 'draw' them up in rain then let them down at work.. ;-)People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

apparently if you spray hairspray on the bottom of jeans it stops them soaking up the water, never tried it and don't know if it works on other fabric (or jeans for that matter)0

I had the same problem last year as I started to park 15 min walk away from work so I'd get some exercise. My solution was to buy pair of Footglove shoes from Marks, not cheap, but managed to find pair with a heel on that are still incredibly comfy so I can walk in. They're not the most attractive pair of shoes but heeled and comfy so I change into killer heels when I get to work, with dry trouser bottoms ............. The shoes hve lasted till this summer (hah!) and I reckon will do another winter and spring too.0

Its not so odd to where suits with wellies. Loads of professionals in the country do it when occasion requires it (officials/stewards at rural events, surveyors , Land agents, etc etc.).0

NEXT do slim leg trousers in their work wear section. These might look ok with some sort of leather boots over the top. They don't hang as long as wider legged trousers so you might not have the problem with flat shoes.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

Personally I think this is the best and funniest suggestion I have ever read on here - I' think you should start working on all sorts of cord placements and eyelets for discreet lift and lower action. Perhaps a trouser belt with cords and crocodile clips - it would get you noticed!0
