Hello all,
I'm just wondering how other people keep the bottom of their trousers clean esp when it's wet out?
More specifically, I wear suits to work and have a fair walk to the station. For this, I wear flat (comfy) shoes then change into office heels when I get to work. The thing is, if I wear flats with trousers, they drag on the floor and get ruined quickly (dirty and scuffed holes), so much so that I get through 2 pairs of trousers per suit much and much quicker than I think I should do.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
As far as I can see, the only solution would be to find a 'comfy' pair of heels for walking in??
Any ideas would be welcome!
Thanks

I know the problem, but then I have just taken to wearing wellies. Not sure how they would look with a suit though!0

I had a similar problem with cycling to work - only answer I found was to change lower half clothes on arrival at work. This does have the added benefit of making sure that you are in dry clothes all day even when it is pouring with rain.0

I tuck mine inside my wellies or roll them up. or cover them with socks for cycling"The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Wow - thanks, lots of suggestions on here!
I think the ultimate answer seems to involve either looking a little bit odd on the way in (bicycle clips or wellies), or carrying more stuff (spare clothes).
I was hoping someone had an ingenious solution to my problem that I just hadnt thought of!
