HI. I am getting married in August and have found a woman who is just getting started doing hand made wedding stationary at half the price of other places. She is actually recreating a style for me for just 2.15 for day invitations, the others cost 4.00...I am so excited! I ordered invites, day and evening, menus, orders of service, thank you cards, place cards, save the date cards and even a table plan and it is costing me less than 350.00 and I am having 80 day guests!!! Just wanted to share this with you! She is in the Borders and her phone number is . The company name will be About the Bride but I think she is still working on her web site..hope this helps some people.:T OOPS IT WAS ONLY 231.00...OR 351.25 WITH FAVOURS.

Halfcost.co.uk have wedding stationery packs for £7/20-pack including everything, and they don't come with extra spam.

Hubby and I spent many an evening in during the winter before our wedding together and made our own - got everything we needed from hobbycraft, I'm not arty and found it really easy cost less than £40 for all of the above.

Sincerely hope the OP means August 2010 or that's quite a lot of money wasted on invites to send out so late :rotfl:

  • I know that there are some cheaper ways, but I did not want tacky invitations that you find in some catalogues or in the shops. I wanted something that was specific to me and showed my guests I have made an effort for them. SHe printed all of the guests names as well so I dont have any writing to do...I guess it is just down to taste.

I take offense to that! I am not trying to show off or anything, and am not loaded, but I wanted something unique and hand made and managed to find it at half the price here. If I had known I was in for a personal attack I would not have bothered!

ours were unique and hand made and we had a couple of guests ask where they were done as they wanted to use them to make theirs for the following year. IMO it would be a waste of money to have someone else do something I could do myself quite easily.
  • That is true if you have the time, but I have 3 small children and 2 jobs so I did not have the time...I did look into at one point but to be honest I dont think I would have made a good job.

Would one of those two jobs be making Wedding Stationery by any chance?
How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?
