Three Contract Renewel Offer

Hi guys,
I just thought I'd see if anyone else on here had been offered a similar thing from three when attempting to leave...
Basically my contract runs out on the 14th of September - I have found three to be quite terrible and couldn't wait to leave - I eventually managed to persuade someone on the phone to let me cancel the contract and I received a PAC code - job done I thought.
Yesterday I receieved a phone call from someone at three saying they would offer me a £200 comet voucher, a new Sony Ericsson phone (not sure what model yet), and reduce my line rental to £7 a month for mix and match 500.
I told the man on the phone I'd think about it and he said that was fine - they'd send through the offer in writing within a week.
This morning I get a text from three saying 'your new mobile phone will be delivered today' and my housemate has informed me a phone has arrived! I've called three to ask what the heck is going on and they said that is standard practice, if I don't want the phone I can return it...
What shall I do?!

If the reasons you wanted to leave haven't changed, send it back. If you wanted to leave because the phone was crap, see what phone they've sent you, but don't open it or use it. If it's not what you want, send it back.0

Send it back and make sure the sim insn't inserted or you're tied in again0 -
Well that sounds like a fantasic offer. If you have network problems ie cannot make and receive calls from your area then it's pointless even with a low monthly tariff.0

I know – it does seem fairly good, and considering I was going to be shelling out for an iphone as my next model and I’m fairly skint it might be worth considering. I am a bit confused as to why they would give me a Comet voucher but hey ho - I just find three to be a truly awful company to deal with and I have poor experience with Sony Ericsson phones.
However, £200 Comet voucher minus £7 a month line rental over 8 months still leaves me £74 in profit. I’m about to move house so will probably make use of the voucher even though Comet aren’t the cheapest place.
Has anyone else been offered a Comet voucher from three or have any views on this offer?
Thanks!0 -

Have you got that offer in writing? Because if not, since they managed to send you the phone when you didn't ask for it, they might very well manage to get the deal wrong and the first time you find out is when you get your first bill on the new contract, well over the 14 days.
If you get it in writing - even text - and you like 3, then that is truly a great deal. Too good to be true, perhaps!0 -

According to the guy who phoned me it will be in writing, but then again he also said I wouldn't receive the phone until I confirmed I wanted it...
Might call again tonight to request something in writing.0 -
Take the offer !
Sell the phone (if you don't want it) on eBay. Profit from the Comet voucher. Just leave the £7 running and make a note in your diary to cancel in 18 months time and get a new phone with someone elseStarting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
