Redruby - I loved my jumpsuits when I was younger :) There is no way I'd get away with it now though :)

Celyn, thay are beautiful, such tiny detail, please excuse my ignorance, but what are they :o:o are they cakes ????

They are made of fimo and the softer coloured bits from japanese paper clay. The fruit slices are normally used for nail art :o. The top left are small cupcake charms - I have them strung on looped kilt pins and braclets at the moment, top right are brooches (these are made in bottle tops - when the Good Fairy posted on the special ocassions board she suggested doing this this), bottom left is a hair clip and bottom right are just some small fish, but I have made some of the into earring and badges so far. I don't have any feel for what sort of stuff like this would sell at a craft fair as I've never really used clay before - the last ones I did were glass/ceramics and more traditional jewellery and that was a long time ago. I made a batch of tiny doughnuts last night and my hands really ache :) :rotfl:

I think I might be able to do it with icing, but getting the colours right might take more patience than I have :o If I can pull it off, I think they will make cute cupcake toppers.

Happy birthday ladygrim and emmwri :)
molly41 - I agree with you. When I was teaching, I learnt that it doesn't matter what the grade is it is about personal acheivement for each and every indiviual student. I've have students be upset who've got AAB and celebrate with a couple of passes. Wishing you all the best today - I'm glad your son got what he needed and your daughter has had the strength to start over, it takes a great deal of maturity to do that and if she has that attitude now, she will do well, I am certain of it :)

    Good morning

Have just done two long days at work so feeling a bit weary but it was lovely having a lie-in this morning.
Will go to pick up DD2's AS results in a couple of hours as she's in Majorca. I'm not allowed to open them though so won't know how she's done until next Tuesday.
Plans for today - a bit of shopping, book DD1's car into garage, sort something for dinner, freeze some runner beans then back to work.
    Celyn - they are lovely!
Molly - welcome to the thread
Taplady - hope the weekend goes smoothly and is not too tiring

Good luck to anyone getting exam results!

Have a good day everyone, (((hugs))) if not.

    Morning all:hello:
Happy birthdays to those celebrating and wow Celyn, they look fab:T

Just having a bit of toast here, hm of course with hm marmalade:D

Raining here in Worcester, gosh I hope it doesn't rain at the Oval in the next 5 days. Don't want the Ashes to end in a rain-induced draw.

No big plans for today. DD is making something out of sequins and my baking foil, sons are playing on the wii. I expect one of them wants the PC in a minute so I'd better hurry up.

Might make some muffins or flapjacks later. Lunch is a collection of odds and ends and tea will be more odds and ends from the freezer-specifically a big tub of bean stew and a small tub of beef ragu which will be combined, possibly with the addition of a few chunks of chorizo or some bacon to make 'Cowboy Beans'. Always give leftover concoctions a good name;) Might make some American biscuits to have with it (scones).

    Morning all

    Happy Birthday Emmwri and Ladygrim:bdaycake::bdaycake:

Good luck to all those expecting results

Looks like they might be right about rain here - so different from yest!

Day off today and I am going shopping soon, chilli that I defrosted yest (was too hot weather wise to eat it) for tea tonight with jacket pots so extremely easy for me:D

I am going to clean the upholstery in the car today as we are thinking of trading it in for a larger one (though probably not newer! maybe even older!) for caravan towing. Now that we know that we def enjoy caravanning we plan eventually to get a different (newer) model and we are very limited by the size of our car, so thought we would sort that out first before we think of another caravan. Trouble is we don't have much money to spare so it is a matter of doing what we can with what we have got (very OS I suppose:rotfl:) I think I may join in the ebaying bug and try to start a saving pot towards a newer model. I will have to look around and see what I have got - there is loads of [STRIKE]rubbish [/STRIKE] treasure lying around:rotfl:

Right off to get ready, will catch up with all news later. Have a good day everyone:D

    Hi everyone,

It's been very quiet on here the past couple of days.

Feeling down today - ds had a hissy fit last night and said he couldn't come on holiday with us because of the pressures of his new job. He acts like a toddler when he's very tired, despite being 23. Hoping that a days reflection will show him he needs the time off.

Please keep fingers crossed for dd who has a second interview for a job this afternoon.

OS wise I'll be finishing washing, ironing and packing for holiday and emptying the fridge of anything that will spoil before we get back.

Happy birthday Emmwri and Ladygrim and best wishes to those receiving results (I remember it well for both myself and dks).

    Morning peeps

Happy Birthday Lady grim & Emmwri :bdaycake::bdaycake: hope that you both have fab days!

Molly - Welcome to the daily :hello:

My fingers are crossed for everyone who ie expecting exam results today!

Day off today but i got up early to run DH into w*rk and i walked the houndies whilst it was still dry outside. I`ve just finished my most hated job - cleaning the venetian blind in the kitchen  i took it out into the garden and cleaned it with socks on my hands. It`s aluminium and there are now two wonky bits :o i`d almost finished when the heavens opened so i struggled to bring it in and dried it afterwards once it was back up at the window. The window and frame have both been scrubbed so it looks a lot brighter in the kitchen now so the end result was worth it :D

Just rung Mum who is visiting later and brought forward the visit a bit, i had forgotten that the traffic will be terrible later as we have the U2 concert at Don valley stadium so i don`t have as long to tidy round. I need to s&s the bathroom and run around with he dyson before whipping up a cake. Plum jam will be made later once Mum arrives with the much needed jars. I had a big clear out and sent quite a few of my well used jars to the recycling centre - wish i hadn`t sent quite as many now as i`ve been using lots lately.

I`ll be back for a catchup later.

    Have a good day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

The cheeky !!!!!!s have also worked out their annual worming treatment is hidden in their food and have gone out the cat flap in disgust :rotfl:
