Ive just had a credit search done by AGP (bell diamond elephant) or something like that, is it allowed and yes I was on confused.com looking for cheaper car insurance0

I have just this minute got off the phone to Experian as I too queried AGP and Direct Line making enqiuries when I'd gone through a comparison site.
As long as it says "Unrecorded Enquiry" or "Insurance Quotation" you are fine, it doesn't need to be queried back to them, and no lenders can see this information on any other kind of credit search. It is merely to check against your 'ID'.
