Same here... I always quote every minute flaw and couldn't believe the seller would not mention all the scuffs etc on the bag I bought. To be honest I don't think I would have had the cheek to list it. I certainly didn't want my mitts holding on to the dirty handles.

Don't you just feel so deflated when you open up the parcel to be confronted by something completey different than you were hoping for?! :D

I was deflated yesterday when I opened what should have been a monsoon skirt and got a cardigan top from a different store! It's all being sorted out amicably though.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I'm guessing it's permethrin (which is used by many companies) and can be fatal to cats (but not dogs, so it is in dog flea products). People don't realise this and give it to their cats and it can be very serious even when the cat survives.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

It's not just people using the dog stuff on cats by mistake - cats have been killed by the cat stuff, and dogs have been killed by the dog stuff.

I think they should all be banned from sale.

Fleas carry tapeworm eggs which can be deadly (and, while treatable, a lot harder to spot than fleas) they also can cause anemia which again (especailly in puppies) can be deadly. My dog had a allergic reaction to a flea product (that was prescribed by a vet) but they do good work, fleas are nasty things for many reasons. Also animals and humans can have allergic reactions and unexpected complications to anything so a outright ban is going a bit far (my dogs dad for example died because he couldn't cope with anesthetic, but he would have died without the operation.)

Sorry, not trying to be argumentative, but I do think it is important to point out both dangers.

Personally I think natural remedies are a good compromise, especially in households which have both cats and dogs. :)

I realise fleas are a problem  and that allergies are possible, even in products purchased from a vet. However, the chances that all these animals happen to be allergic to the Bob Martin products seems just a little unlikely to me.

Anyway, we are going off topic because this thread is about my ebay problem, not my views on Bob Martin.

Sorry, I know it is off topic but that is quite a sweeping statement. Can you please PM me with your evidence?

    Thanks :D

Open the dispute as a matter of course - better in the long run if she decides not to refund. PayPal will insist that you send the item back first, and that you do so via trackable means. Once they can see the item has arrived, THEY will issue the refund to you - so you don't need to worry about the seller being vindictive and not refunding. Much easier all round.

I know someone who has accidentally used dog flea stuff on their cat as it is the same looking bottle. The cat very nearly died, and my friend had to pay a lot of money for the treatment she had. Poor thing was in a bad way but luckily she has recovered and is back to her silly self.
