Helloooo.. it's been a few days but not a huge amount to report, had a great weekend, house move went well and it's lovely. Haven't actually been home to my own place since.. suppose I should do at some point :rotfl:
Spent about £20 over the weekend on food and drink - bank balance is still looking quite healthy but still 20 days till payday, which sounds like ages!
Been super-busy at work so got some extra hours in, all good for getting extra holidaysDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Haha - I was a bit slow when you texted that.. "lease? huh? ....Ohhhhhhhh":rotfl:
I would protest but.. you could be right :eek:Of course I will have to wait and see if he asks but he's already said "our garden" and referred to the people "next door to us" and is asking my opinions on all the new furniture and stuff, although I've been very consciously saying "I think.. but it's your house"... it feels nice though

Euuuurgghhh... so tired!! Had a couple of really long days and now have to catch up on lots more work.. and it's horrible and wet and dark and I just want to go back to bed! Had another lovely cosy night in last night, dinner cooked for me and everything
Had to spend a bit more money (tut) on some toiletries this morning. Just thinking that Quidco should be paying out in the next couple of days, not expecting loads but.. every little helps!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
A few sums to check where I am at the mo...
Account 1:
Balance £171.14
To come out £69.38
To go in £6.48
£108.24
Account 2:
Balance £178.14
To come out £28.50
£149.64
Prepaid Card:
Balance £4.67
Total £262.55
Minus £146.16 to pay small debt at end of month leaves £116.39.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Not much to report money-wise today. The bargain new boots I ordered have arrived... well one pair has, the other pair they've sent me completely the wrong thing (even the wrong size) so have emailed to sort that out.
As deliberated about on the running thread I was meant to be doing the Great Yorkshire Run on Sunday but am coming to the conclusion that I haven't done enough training and it wouldn't be a good idea. I'm absolutely knackered from this week as it is so I might just have a quiet weekend.
On the complete opposite scale to quiet weekends though, I've been looking at the British Military Fitness classes for ages (with a mixture of keenness and terror) so I AM going to go along to a free trial class. There, see, I've written it down, so I have to go. By the end of September, I will. Or else. OK?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Wow you are brave
Think Idio has done one before...I'll dig out the review he did hang on...
Here you go:
A lot of "run to that tree, then 5 situps, 5 pressups, then back" kinda things.
Found it quite humbling...when you apply you have to tick on the form what your fitness level is, very fit, fit, average etc...I was between putting average and fit, but I reasoned that an "average" person probably couldn't pop out for a 10 mile run, so I decided to put "fit".
The classes are divided into 3 levels - blue (beginners), red (intermediate) and green (advanced). I kinda figures I'd be in the red one, so was quite disappointed when the guy said all trialists go in blue...I thought the whole point was that they'd "push you to the max" and that kinda thing, so didn't wanna just jog around with a few old dears for an hour.
Anyway, I needn't have worried. I started off very well, was first back on a couple of the exercises, thought I was doing quite well. Then there was a section on different kinds of plank, which *hurt me* a lot, then that stupid thing where you lay on your back and raise your legs off the floor, which hurt me more, then finally there was a section involving lots of star-jumps, but squatting down to touch the floor, jumping straight from there into the air, then back down again - turns out I don't have too much of that "explosive" power in my legs - so very tiring.
By the end of the class (1 hour) I was the last one limping around the various activities and feeling like the least fit person in the world.
Have woken up today with aches and pains all over, so it clearly gives a very good workout - sure footy later will shake that off, though
Very impressed overall, sadly I think it's just too expensive for me to commit to regularly, but really enjoyed it as a 1-off.0
