Carphonewarehouse are offering the Motorola V545 on half price rental on the Orange Your Plan 120.

Assuming a downgrade to the £15 tariff after 6 months (the CPW conditions seem to allow migration after 4 months), and with a trade-in worth £20 plus £15 rebate from linemypocket, this results in a monthly cost of £4-58.

Migration to a lower tariff after 4 months, and getting a lower tariff than £15 would mean an even lower monthly cost.

    Maybe it's me being stupid, but I don't see how that gets to 4.58.

    Surely it's 6 months at 12.50, then 6 months at 15.00 = £165 -£20 trade-in - £15 limeypocket = 130/12 = 10.83 ???

    No, you're not being stupid. It does need confirmation that the cashback is based on the full £25 per month over 12 months, despite the downgrade to £15 after 6 months.

    CPW say "12 months half price line rental on Your Plan 120" and also suggest that tariff migration is allowed "Customers cannot migrate their tariff down within four months of taking out a new connection or upgrade."

    My calculation, based on the tariff starting at £25 and reducing after 6 months to £15, is as follows:

    Cost for 12 months is (6 x £25) + (6 x £15) = £240
    Cashback is 12 x £12-50 = £150 [This needs confirmation]
    Trade-in = £20
    Rebate = £15

    So 12 months net cost £ = 240 - 150 - 20 - 15 = £55

    Cost per month = £55 / 12 = £4.58 (and a third pence).
