Nokia 6600 Slide Ringer

I have a Nokia 6600 Slide (big mistake - am desperately waiting til Jan when I can change it!!) and the main thing that drives me mad with it is that even on maximum the ringer is too quiet.

I can hear it if it's right next to me and there's no other noise going on but if I'm out and about I can't hear it even when it's in my pocket and if I'm at home and it's in the next room I can't hear it!

Is there anyway of making it louder at all?
