  • well, our invites are out and SLOWLY getting replies back...

We bought OH's ring at the weekend.. went in and had a look and decided on a style he liked and then we went on to ebay and got one thru elma jewellery for £62! 6mm white gold in size X. Thanks for that tip tiger!

Also, my button bouquets are being finished as i type. They're looking cool and when final photos are avaialabel I'll show them off.

My bouquet will ahve lace leaves round the side that have been put on craft wire - these are lace leaves from my grannys wedding dress and there a few buttpns on my bouquet which were special buttons of my grandpas. (Both ahve been dead for years - I was 18months when my grandpa died and 12 when my granny died)

Also the £1 shop were doing indoor fireworks so I bought a pack to try out. In the pack is one big one medium and two small for £1! And they're great so gonna buy more of them and have them for the tables during the day and maybe for night too..

Thinking of using minimoo card for palce names but not decided on thatyet. the venue can do place names but the mini moo cards could have our own pic on them and you get 100 (and all 100 can be different images) for 11 so was thinking since we're only having approx 50 during the day I could use the rest for silly things like magnets and stuff as little extras for the bridesmaids and flowergirls. You know pics of us on nioghts out and stuff.

First fitting is next Sat for my dress. Ive ordered my underwear and think its arrived as I have a red card from the post office.

And all my BM and FG dresses from China arrived and only need minor alterations and look fab!

We've (or should I say OH - that was his job as well as choosing the band as he hates cheesy bands at weddings!) now chosen our new first dance - we were going to have "What about now?" by Daughtry but now that Westlife have released it, the OH refused to have it!! So we're having Everything by Lifehouse.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Meeting wedding coordinator on Monday to decided on meals etc.

  • I love your shoes and the bridesmaid dresses are gorge. It is 3 weeks 6 days away for me eeeek! We had my hen night last night and it was so much fun. All my lovely friends came to my house and we made swarovski crystal watches and bracelets with a lady who does beading parties. We had such a laugh! Anyone who is friends with me on facebook can see the pics there!

I only have to get dd's shoes, OH's shirt, underwear and sort out eyebrows and nails just before the big day. I still have a few things to make, such as the holly for the registrar table and print out the names for the table plan!

It's getting very exciting over this end, how's everyone else? xxx

    Hi girls,

I had a productive weekend to!!

Had a trial with a make up lady who did my friends wedding and LOVED it!!! I had a bad experience a couple of weeks ago with a women who should not advertise as a make up artist so am relieved that it is finally sorted!!

Also had my first dress fitting and it doen't need any alterations so thats another relief!!!!

Just got a few more things to do, now the big things are sorted I am starting to relax and enjoy it all rather than being so stressed!!!!

I have very similar shoes from Dune Lydia, except mine are last years style as got them new off ebay, they are beautiful!!!!!

Need to get some underwear, not sure what to get though as when I had dress fitting the lady there said I didn't need a bra (a shock after having 2 kids and having 38f boobs, lol!!) but the dress pulls it all in and she said if I wear a bra then it would change the style of the dress!!! i was going to get some big pants to pull my tummy and hips in but again don't really need it with the dress (plus not very sexy on the wedding night, lol!!)n beed some insperation really!!!!

Oh my word, I think I have stumbled across the most stressful thing known to brides. The table plan. It's a major diplomatic exercise - keeping certain people away from each other, making sure people aren't offended because they're not sitting near the bride and groom. Would it be really ridiculous if we were to remove ourselves from the politics of this whole situation and sit on the children's table?!

  • I had my first dress fitting on Sat.. I wanted a halter added to the dress - its currently strapless and so theysaid they would order the material in for it - as my dress is by St Patricks which is apparently nitoriously difficult to colour match to but they said it will be 8 weeks!! So I'm having a chiffon halter now and some beading from the back of the dress moved and added to the chiffon halter.
  • And the table planning yes, I think that could be stressful!! We have 5 relatives - my OH's aunts and uncles at that who should know better - that havent replied to the day invitation yet.. - I'd asked them to reply by 1 November and gave them 6 weeks to do that!

So we're going to have to ask his Mum and Dad to chase them this week about that..... as we have a back up list that we'd like to go to if these 5 cant come- which we think is likely.
