NS&I Doubles ISA rates

Good news from NS&I. Hopefully it will spark rate rises from other providers in competition for our cash.

BTW although their rates have increased they are certainly not the best available!
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

    They're still pretty meagre I think. I believe Kent Reliance are still offering a one year ISA rate of 3.2% and there are probably other institutions offering even higher.

    Moved my NS&I direct ISA to Northern Rock 12 month fixed 2 weeks ago so now getting 3.0% still 0.50% better than NS&I, at the time they were paying a poxy 1.3%!
