Quidco £20 for opening Alliance & Leicester savings account

This account requires you to "Open with a minimum deposit of just £1,000" but then the table on their website (here says it pays 3.15% on balances of £1+ whilst the bonus lasts.
Does this mean you don't have to maintain a balance of £1,000?
The detailed terms and conditions also say the minimum balance is £1 only.0 -
The A&L Online Saver Issue 5 page states, that you have to open the account with a min. deposit of £1000.
On the other hand there is nothing in the T&Cs stipulating that you have to maintain a balance >£1K, nor does the interest rate drop during the first year.
I just wonder whether one should leave the money in until they have paid Quidco.Dagobert0 -
I did this for e-Saver 2 back in 2008 through Quidco, received my £20 cashback quite quickly (paid). I already had an issue 5 saver opened this was before quidco were offering £20 on it. However, as someone mentioned above, would it b possible, opening another?
Well, I've just tried, initial app has gone through, so i'll let you know how it goes.0 -
Anybody opened this and had it tracked yet?0

Well I've successfully opened a second one now, have my acc. and sort code number already. quidco hasn't tracked yet but I'll give it a couple more days first.0

I opened this last night and it tracked on Quidco today. The amount says zero, and it also says "Alliance & Leicester Current Accounts" rather than savings but I presume this is correct.mr_fishbulb wrote: »Anybody opened this and had it tracked yet?0 -

The requirement is initial funding of £1,000 but as it appeared from the T&Cs, the only requirement is the initial funding. You can have less than £1,000 in the account after this and it won't affect the 3.15% interest rate you receive.0 -

Mine tracked 0.00 then 6 days later also tracked 20.00 even though I havent funded it yet, hope this helps. :cool:0 -
Just to update, mine showed up today on Quidco of the blue, it's been over a week so I thoguht I'd have to do an enquiry but it's all good. I guess it appeared onced I'd moved the 1k into the account (and then out).0
