Hello
My 84 year old mother died this morning from heart failure and kidney problems.
I feel so sad and cant stop crying....i wish i could turn the clock back and have more time with her.
I saw your thread and just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss. It is not easy when someone you loved dies. But things will ease in time. Use any friends you have to talk to and remember the good memories that never die !;)0 -
Booklover, I'm so sad for you. Please don't worry about crying, and don't worry about what remained unsaid.......Mother's are very intuitive, she will have known all the things you wanted to say.
I lost my lovely Dad just 2 years ago and it has got to the stage where I can smile when I think of him. I talk to him whenever I go into 'his' garage to get the mower out or some tool to do a little job for my Mum.
I've become quite handy with a drill and am convinced Dad is at my elbow whenever I use it, lol.
I think this poem says it all:
You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only thats she's gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she'd want; smile, open you eyes, love and go on
AnonymousI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
