When should i cancel

First request your PAC code code from T-Mobile, then once you receive this code you have 30 days to give it to your new provider. Sign up to your new contract with this code and they'll port your existing number over to the new contract, when your new contract becomes active your old contract is cancelled.0

Sorry - this isn't clear.
More information needed if you want help.
1. Are you on a contract at present?
2. Has that contract come to an end?
3. Are you PAYG?
4. Do you want to keep the same number?
All very important if you want clear advice.0 -

If you want to keep your phone number then do this regardless of whether you're going for a new phone or staying with your old one. Basically your new contract will come with a sim-card and they need to ensure that this sim-card has your existing phone number on it.0 -
Hi, i am on a contract which has came to an end.Not particularly bothered about keeping my number0

Your current provider will want 30 days notice. Since you are not fussed about keeping your number, you can get a new contract any time you like, you will just be paying for both if the dates overlap.
Please check out coverage with Orange first, though.0
