Car Hire-Geneva airport for France
NOWSE
We are going to stay in France near the Swiss border & are looking for car hire. We are flying into Geneva & want to be able to pick up the car at the airport. My experience of car hire is mainly in Spain where, whenever I've bothered to read the small print, it says that you are not permitted to take the car out of the country. I would imagine that my situation is quite common. Can anyone recommend a hire company that permits cross border rentals from Geneva Airport?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Geneva Airport has a French and Swiss sector, so if you are only using the car in France, hire one from the French side. if you intend to drive in both France and Switzerland you will need a Swiss Motorway permit, more details HERE. Most of the big rental companies, Hertz, Avis etc. allow cross border driving, with some exceptions, mainly Eastern Europe.0
