could someone help me to claim my bank charges back

my account was opened well before 2001 i think ive been with them for about 12years so could i ask for all the bank statement's from then ?
plus i never thought you would have to pay for them to send bank statement's out

Apologies, you mentioned the bank said that they could only order statements from 2006 which is clearly nonsense since your account was opened earlier than that date/

Yes, the banks can charge for this, it is the maximum charge of £10, send this off by cheque or postal order with the letter, if you have any other accounts with the same bank, the £10 covers all of the accounts as well.

hi i got my bank statements this morning i can see a few charges on there so far it says like unpaid item's but it does not say how much the charge was for do i just highlight where it say charges ? even thou there is no amount next to it . im comfused with it all already lol

There has to be an amount somewhere so please look for the amounts charged.
