How to get rid of a new buyer??

Actually, I tell a lie- one has an address on it. All other auctions were listed as Paypal payment only but this one allowed cheque or Postal Order also.0

I did send her my address - at which point she sent the snotty message back.
The transaction has been cancelled now anyway.
I wasn't being mean - obviously she is new to ebay and I tried to help, but I just don't have the energy for a simple transaction (99p +postage!) to drag on for weeks.
Thanks for all your help guys and gals! Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
How have you cancelled it, has she agreed to do a mutual and if so be aware she can still leave feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If she's new to ebay, she may have hit the reply button on the emails that ebay send instead of the 'respond' button within the email. That might explain why she's insisting she's sent emails but had no reply.
Those emails disappear into the ether....
Ask me how I know....;)"carpe that diem"0 -
OP, It's called customer service and it dopesn't matter if its 99p or £99. You need to note when buyers are new and adjust how you treat them and how you expect them to react.
They might now hit the neg feedback button.0 -
I have had the exact same thing.. but with a buyer with 200+ feedback. Paypal account not working, can send PO.. that was three weeks ago, and have still received nothing. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is ridiculous, lol. Am waiting for the post today, and if nothing is received will close my NPB and give the strike.0

You made it difficult for yourself here. She is doing you a favor sending a postal order, no charge back possible.0

Take their money and run. If they don't send the money then report them. Personally I prefer getting postal orders as you can send the item straight away, no extra fees to pay, the money goes straight into your account and no worry about the payment bouncing or suddenly there being a dispute. The only problem is actually getting it but then you have people who take ages to pay by paypal.0 -
If you only accept Paypal as a payment, then you are wrong. Your address DOES NOT appear on an invoice. There would be no need for it, as you don't accept postal payments. In the time it took you to tell her 'the address is on the invoice' so many times, you could have just typed it out, and told her. It's hard for newbies to find their way round eBay sometimes, good to know that they'll always be helped by old hands eh...0

I was nice - I explained where she could find the payment info, and I said that as she was new, I would accept a postal order - I wasn't horrible at all - and then I get a snotty reply to my question about whether she had sent it yet.
I didn't realise that invoices for paypal only payments don't have the address on (I can't remember the last time I waited for an invoice before i paid for something)....so I stand corrected on that one.
And yes, maybe she has been hitting "reply" instead of "respond" - again, something I didn't know....
Anyway - she has agreed to cancel the transaction now - so I can relist it.
Thanks for all your helpful (and some not so helpful!!) comments!!:rotfl:Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0
