You have to admire Tescos' customer Service

emailed the other day to notify them of a scam website that was copying all their logo's and look , today I got a reply saying thay had opened my new account and I could access it by entering password etc......

you do wonder why you bother trying and where they find the people that cannot read simple emails

    hmmm
not happy with Tescos ATM myself
ordered online shop for delivery between 6 -8pm on friday - have altered our delivery slot as the 5-7 slot always turned up before hubby got home from work and as i am disabled need his help to get shopping in and put away
their deliveries were so bad we stopped online shopping for a long time as a result
however after a 12 month break this weekend we did another online shop as it was more convenient
    booked slot for 6-8pm
phone rings at 4.10 pm - "hello it's tescos delivery, i am just round the corner can I come now?"
" sorry- no am on my way to Doctors appointment"
    "ok"
lo and behold - 5.10 pm he TURNS up and offloads all the shopping
    I was FURIOUS
"well you're my last delivery and I want to go home" was his comment

I think it will be Christmas in July before we do another online order for delivery!
  • They never suprise me they told my 60 year old mother she would be escorted from the premises as she was complaining about a faulty camera.

She rather upset the electrical manager "Paul" when she told him she understood pingu better than him. I found that funny from a 60 year old.

He kept saying he was the manager but she was looking to speak with the store manager but he wasnt willing to get him. customer satisfaction with tesco must be horrible.

I love to hate them but certain deals just drag you down to the local tesco.

Tesco Customer service I don't think actually read the e-mails. As everytime I email them I get a reply where its obvious they have ignored what I have said. For instance I e-mailed them to point out that on Tesco Direct there was a freeview box which was 99pounds and was now 499pounds. The correct price was of course 99pounds. I wanted to buy the box but now for an extra £400! So I e-mailed them and pointed it out. I then go a long e-mail from them about how prices go up and down and how competivie they are on most items but can't be every time! They did correct the error on the website though.

I'd have told him to go away and come back at 6pm
  • I recently emailed them about a pricing query in the local store. They responded by telling me they had not been able to 'get through' to the store by telephone so had forwarded my email for the manager to deal with.

The store have clearly ignored that (just like they ignore the phone) so Tesco customer services are about to get a swift kick up the backside from me. I'm not impressed with their 'buck passing' in the hope that the customer will just go away.

I did say that and he said he would sit outside the house until 6pm
on reflection I should have let him do that- but I was so shocked by his attitude he caught me out!

Just to add that I have had shopping turn up early than the slot. I once got home at 4.45pm to find a note through the door saying they had turned up at 5pm to deliver the shopping for 5pm-7pm slot but I was not there! The store manager eventually called me and first denied the driver had come early. When I pointed their customer services would have a log of me calling at 4.50pm they then admitted the driver had wanted to get off home and they called the evening shift driver back to store so they could deliver my shopping.

Saying that if I am in and the driver turns up early I have no problem with it.
