I went to Tesco's in Kingston yesterday and decided to fill up with petrol and use my 3p off per litre voucher, however Tesco's in Kingston do not accept the vouchers which are issued at Wolverton or Bletchley. The assistant said they are not taking part in the offer! It does actually say this on the voucher, but its a bit late when you have already put you petrol in the car!

Also the ladies were not giving out the Computer Vouchers unless you specifically asked for them, as they were putting them in a box with a schools name written on the front, which I thought was a bit off!

Thats weird as I got the 3p off voucher from Kingston! I had just assumed I could use it at any tesco but will ensure I check the T & Cs. Thanks

If you contact Age Concern they will take everything off your hands and even collect the furniture. They have a warehouse I think in Stacey Bushes (can't really remember) and also a shop in Bletchley and they sell furniture from both.

There are local charity shops in both Shenley Church End centre and Westcroft Centre which support local charities - they'll take most things, but not the furniture.

Most Charity shops are in Stony Stratford High St including Willen Hospice (another local charity) and the usual Oxfam etc.
The Age Concern warehouse is in Kiln Farm near the post office sorting office.

We always tend to drop things for charity off to the Willen Hospice shop and the ladies i nthere are really lovely.

Can anyone recommend a good carpet retailer who will fit a 3 bed house including laminate and vinyl? We have had one quote from Allied Carpets and want comparisons.

    Thank you!!

When we moved into our flat last year, I used Direct Carpets (they advertise in the Citizen - they have a small colour ad just before the classifieds) - but they have a shop in Stony High St.

My mum's used Captain Carpet before (based in Bradville) and was really impressed with them - they often have warehouse open days for browsing and buying offcuts.

Does any one know where I can get a cheap Water Butt. We have just installed a new shed in the garden and I thought it would be a good idea to collect the rain water off it!

    Thanks

They had vouchers in the Citizen for them about 2/3 weeks ago but I don't know if they are doing them again.

Otherwise the only places I can think of are Homebase / Argos / B & Q

Hi my son and his wife and 2 month old baby have just got their first house. They have bought carpets for the upstairs but they can't really afford to pay much to have them fitted. The plan was that my son and his dad were going to do them but neither feel confident about it. Does anyone know of somewhere in MK that do carpet fitting for a reasonable price.

    Cheers.
